Sampai PaulineSampai Pauline has been an active member of the Kimberley Shotokan Karate Club since 1998 and she achieved her Nidan rank in 2019. As a very talented and knowledgeable karate-ka, Sampai Pauline has been named as the Junior Development Officer, which means her main teaching interest lies in working with and improving the skills of the junior members of the club (8th kyu to 6th kyu) to establish strong foundations and a positive attitude.

A prominent member of the club, she was recently awarded the Top Student award for her attitude, commitment and overall dedication to her training and also her commitment to support the club outside of the dojo. Throughout her karate career her potential and ability has been recognized with her being awarded several trophies, including Most Improved Student in 2010, and Students Student, an award decided by peers, in both 2002 and 2008. In 2018 Sampai Pauline was presented a lifetime achievement award to show appreciation for her services to the club. Sampai Pauline was fortunate enough to have trained with Soke Kanazawa on his farewell course in 2010 and has attended many courses with other prominent instructors.
